Obituary of Lucille Jentis

Lucille Jentis Passed away April 2, 2015. Lucille was born in Harlem, NY to Ricca (nee) Abraham and Victor Yahia. Lucille married Abe Jentis in January 1944 and were married for 59 years until Abe passed away. Abe and Lucille lived in Ditmas Park Brooklyn,where Lucille was a School Crossing Guard for the NYC Police Dept. In 1978 they retired and moved to Woodbourne, NY. Lucille was a skilled seamstress and loved to make curtains and many decorative home items. She was a wonderful cook making Ashkenazi and Sephardic dishes for her family and guests. Lucille is survived by her son Richard and daughter Sim Grosshandler, son-in-law Sam and Grandchildren Amy Golda and Jordan Phillip. The family wishes to thank Beach Terrace Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Long Beach, LI for all their efforts for the wonderful care they gave to Lucille during her short stay there. Also all the Drs. and Nurses at Franklin General Hospital, Valley Stream and St. John's Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway.
