I grew up on Park Avenue in Monticello, just up the hill from where Larry lived. Although Larry was a few years older than me we got to know each other and became good friends. It was easy to be his friend because he was so likeable and thus had a lot of friends. He will be missed dearly by so many of us who knew him.

I just received a note on my Facebook page that Larry has passed away. I’m in total shock as I’m sure your whole family is feeling .

I grew up with the Berens’s ... they were my neighbors... I remember all the ringalivio games and just hanging out. Larry was my friend forever ... first year home from college went to see the Grateful Dead with him... altho Time marches on and we all go our separate ways, whenever we met up, Larry always had a smile and great stories. Just recently we spoke on the phone a few times and were excited to be talking about our 50 th reunion! Can’t believe he won’t be there. Spent some time with Ed yesterday talking about the old days and smiling about Larry stories... and that’s how I will remember my friend and neighbor.. with a big smile! Hugs to all the Berens’s..

We offer our sincere condolences to you during this time of great loss. Losing someone in death like Larry who was loved by many, is indeed challenging. However, many have found great comfort in what our Heavenly Father Jehovah tells us about death and what he plans to do in the very near future. In the Bible at Revelation 21:4 it tells us: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. I want to express my condolences to Lisa and family, I surely liked that guy, he always had a smile on his face and made all around him to smile too. That’s what I’m going to remember the most about him was his great big smile.
He was an honest man and a man of his word, if he told he was going to do something it sure as hell would be done.

Larry was a great person. A loyal friend. A great cook. He was funny. A great bowler. I will always remember bowling with him n Lisa. My first encounter with Larry was at Sullivans Dept.
