Obituary of Donald Godlin

Donald Godlin Of Monticello, New York September 17, 1936-February 18, 2013 76 years old Donald Godlin, a former teacher at the Woodbourne Correctional Facility in Woodbourne, New York and a longtime resident of the area, died at his home in the evening hours on Monday, February 18, 2013. He was 76. The son of the late Abraham and Eleanor Dingenthal Godlin, he was born in the Bronx on September 17, 1936. He will be remembered as an artist who loved to paint, an avid reader, a movie buff, and one who gave of himself, most recently volunteering within the community. Donald is survived by his 3 daughters, Beth Godlin Lillis, of Boston, Merri Godlin, of Alexandria, VA, and Sherri Godlin Stephan, of Alexandira, VA; his three grandchildren, Isadora, Ethan, and Derek, and several aunts and uncles. Graveside services will be held Friday, February 22, 2013, at 10:00am at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Sunset Lake Road, in Liberty, NY. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home of Monticello.
