Victor was a very special man and a tremendous asset to his community. Harris and I were best friends all through our school years in Monticello. I spent many happy hours with the Gordon family and was extremely sorry to learn of Vic's passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

Vic was like a father to me. I knew him for over 60 years. His son Harris and I went to school together. We were the best of friends from grade school. After Harris passed away, I met Vic at least once a week for breakfast for over eighteen years. He was my friend and a member of our family. There is an empty feeling in our hearts. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. May he rest in peace. David and Toby

I remember Mr. Gordon well. When I went to Holiday Mountain to ski, I would see him and would feel fortunate to be able to ski and to have his help. When I trained to be a Ski Patrol member, I would also talk to him and listen. So long ago now but so special and meaningful are my memories of Mr. Gordon.

Similarly, I am a (former) Monticelloite of one generation younger than Vic. He was a fixture when I knew him growing up during the Holiday Mountain years. His license plate was memorable-SNOW with a number after it. Always smiling, always with a nice word.

Grandpa Vic, as my children referred to him, was a truly wonderful human being who enriched all of our lives. He will be missed.

My Uncle Vic was a marvelous person. Brother to my grandma Belle he was only 6 years older than my father, Sheldon, yet more like a big brother to him. He always stayed in touch with my mom, even after dad passed. Vic was the last of a great generation of Gordons; a truely great American family built by my immigrant great grandparents. I miss you, Uncle Vic. Love, Mark
