Obituary of Judith E. Kadan

JUDITH E. KADAN MARCH 23, 1943 – November 1, 2014 LIBERTY, NY Judith E. Kadan, a long time resident of Liberty, NY, peacefully passed away 11/1/14 in Westchester Medical Center after a long illness. The daughter of the late Gertrude and Isidore Gerstein, she was born March 23, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY.   Judy grew up in Ellenville, NY, graduating in 1961. She attended Oneonta State College, had taught elementary school for 2 years, moved to Margate, FL with her family for several years, and returned to Liberty, NY where she worked for DMV in Monticello until her retirement in early January 2009.   She was predeceased by her husband Seymour Kadan who passed away in 1994. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Kadan of Coconut Creek, FL, her sister Eileen Previll of Kerhonkson, NY, her brother Stuart Gerstein and his wife Lori of Mount Royal, NJ, and her brother Alan Gerstein and his wife Phyllis of Accord, NY, nieces Julie and Melissa Gerstein, Briann Valerio, Jeanne Uldrich, and nephew Michael Gerstein.
