We were so lucky to have Dr. Gashinsky, as a doctor and simply a wondeful human being, someone who you looked forward to seeing on every visit. She was kind and had a great sense of humor. She made you felt like a person, even a friend as well as a patient. Heartfelt condolences to her family as well as to the staff at the clinic in this very sad time. She will be sorely missed.

Dr. G. Was a kind and gentle soul, who was very well suited to her work of healing others. We here in Hancock will sorely miss her. May her family find comfort in the memory of her now and in the future. The last visit I had with Dr. G, she was excited to be taking her child on a college visit to Brown University. Even during her own illness Dr. G. Was a true “person for others”. Rest well dear Doctor and thank you for caring for us!

Dr. G was truly the best doctor I’ve ever had. Though her time in Hancock was brief, her knowledge, compassion, and dedication left a lasting impression. Every visit to her office was not just about medicine—she always spoke so lovingly of her children; it was clear they were the center of her world.
May her memory be a blessing. Sending love, strength, and heartfelt prayers to her husband and children during this deeply difficult time.

Dr. Gashinsky was my PCP for only a couple of years, but every time I saw her, I was struck by her intelligence and sense of humor. I’m sad I didn’t get a chance to know her better, and I grieve with her family and friends.

Julia was the kindest and most wonderful friend you could ask for. When I was loosing my mind with my wife stuck in China she welcomed me into their lovely home and when my wife got back she welcomed the “whole set.” I hope she knew how much that meant to me.

As my primary care physician, Dr. G. was also a friend, and treated me with respect and such care. We shared stories of our medical "escapades" (mine as a nurse), and what helped us through the sad times in our lives. She always saw the whole patient, not just the diagnosis. And she did it with truth as well as a dose of humor when needed. She leaves big shoes to fill. Gone way too soon. But I guess God needed a good physician.

Julia and I completed residency together in Binghamton, NY. I will never forget her sense of humor and laughter. She was genuinely one of the funniest people I've ever met. I will never forget the time that she was so tired after a night shift that she drove straight into her garage door. She was such an amazing mom, wife, and physician. The world is a little less bright without her here in it.
