Obituary of Betty Friedland

Monticello, NY

Betty Friedland, a lifelong resident of Monticello, NY, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born on December 28, 1944 in Macon, GA, to Julius and Opal Moss.

Throughout her life, Betty was actively involved in her community as a Cub Scout leader, a Little League volunteer, and a participant in local politics.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Robert Friedland; her son, Marc Friedland; her daughter-in-law, Jennifer; and her brother-in-law, Herbie, and his wife, Janie, who live in Virginia. She is also survived by her niece and nephew.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, Julius and Opal Moss of Florida, and her in-laws, Sal and Frances Friedland.

Funeral services and interment will be held privately at the Wurtsboro Hebrew Congregation Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, the American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association.
