Obituary of James "Jimmy" Shields

James “Jimmy” Shields a life-long resident of Sullivan County passed away unexpectedly on October 16, 2016. He was 39. Born on December 7, 1976 in Monticello, Jimmy was the son of the late Sheryl Turick Lutman and Dale Shields. Jimmy was an active member of the Woodbourne Fire Department and worked as an EMT for Mobilemedic Emergency Medical Services. A family statement reads: “Jimmy was an avid sports fan and frequently drove at Bethel Speedway under his team name RHP- Real Horse Power. He had a passion for driving and training racehorses which reflected his love for speed. Jimmy was blessed with the gift of gab and a heart of gold.” Jimmy was a beloved son, grandson, brother,uncle, nephew and friend. He was predeceased by his mother, Sheryl Lutman, and grandfather’s Morton Turick and Peter Lutman Sr. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 4:00PM at the Hebrew Aide Society Cemetery, Holmes Rd, Harris, NY.
