Obituary of Frances Goodman Meadow
Frances Goodman Meadow, a former Sullivan County resident passed away in the morning hours of January 13, 2017 in Boca Raton, Florida.
Born on July 25, 1923 in Swan Lake, N.Y, Frances married her high school sweetheart, Isidore “Yutch” Meadow, who predeceased her in 1993. They lived most of their lives in Liberty, N.Y. Together they raised their sons, Mark R. Meadow and Barry L. Meadow, and operated Meadow’s Dairy.
A family statement reads: “Frances enjoyed pink plastic lawn ornaments, believed no phone call should last less than 30 minutes, left every crossword puzzle half-finished and drank decaf coffee with every single meal. She will be greatly missed by her family and the many friends, friends of friends, and acquaintances with whom she kept in constant touch with visits, by phone and by mail.”
Survivors include her brother Donald Goodman, two loving sons Mark and Barry, daughters-in-law Jamie and Linda, grandchildren Tey, Shea and Ryan, Matt and Cara, and her great-grandchildren.
A graveside service honoring her life will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 1:30pm at the Congregation Ahavath Israel Cemetery, Hy-San-Ah Road in Liberty.
