Obituary of Eleanor Morganstein

Delray Beach, FL - Formerly of Liberty, NY

Eleanor Morganstein of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Liberty, NY, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026.  She was 99.   
 
Eleanor was born in New York City to Rebecca and Benjamin Cohen on April 9, 1927.  She was the owner of the New Brighton Hotel in Parksville, NY, and the County Seat Restaurant in Monticello, NY.  She also had an antique and estate jewelry business for many years.
 
She is survived by children Zane and Janet Morganstein, Gerri Baral and Merryl Alpert; grandchildren Brooke and Joseph Gordon, Ben and Monica Morganstein and Oliver Alpert; great-grandchildren Lucas and Judah Gordon and Jacob and Audrey Morganstein; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Archie Morganstein, and her brother, David Cohen.

A small graveside service will be held at the Cemetery of Congregation Teferes Israel in Parksville, NY, on July 1, 2026.
