Obituary of Martin Jack Leibowitz
Martin Leibowitz, a long-time resident of the area passed away on October 3, 2017 at Achieve Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Liberty. He was 94. The son of the late Meyer and Martha Rosenbloom Leibowitz, Martin was born on February 16, 1923, in Brooklyn. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army and retired as a Conductor for the MTA in New York City.
Survivors include his loving wife Yvette Tannenbaum Leibowitz, loving daughter Patti J. Leibowitz, Esq., and grandchildren, Molli and Ethan; Daughter Sheryl Schweitzer, grandchildren, Micquelle, Cynthia, and Matthew and great grandchildren, Alivia and Elijah; Daughter Barbara Hubbard and grandchildren Malaina and Krista-Leigh, and great-grandchildren Gatlen and Dezmin.
A funeral service will take place on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 11:00am at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701. Entombment will immediately follow at the Sanctuary of Abraham and Sarah, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652.
