Obituary of Seena Nelson

Seena Nelson, of Liberty, New York, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017. She was 81. The daughter of the late Harry and Clara Gold, she was born Seena Gold on November 26, 2017 in Bronx, NY. 

Seena came from Catskill Hotel stock and worked with her parents at Gold's Lakeside Hotel in Loch Sheldrake, NY, which later became the Motel on the Lake. She was a trained masseuse and worked for many years at the New Age Health Spa. She was a lover of cats and wrote many poems, and cared deeply about the world and the environment. Her final years were spent retired in Liberty, NY. 

Survivors include her son, Marc Nelson, of Blairsville, PA; a sister, Dorothy Zalkin, of Weston, FL, nieces and nephews Cari Zalkin, of Asheville, NC, Bob and Debbie Gold, of Florida, Michael Zalkin, of Woodridge, NY, Paula Gold of California, Vicki Stremus, of Boca Raton, FL, Tom Nocella and Frank Nocella of New York; great nieces and nephews Andrea Zalkin, of Brooklyn, NY, and Gabriel Zalkin, of Woodridge, NY; and great-great-nephew Hudson Massey of Brooklyn, NY; and various other great nieces and nephews. 

Seena was predeceased by her parents, Clara and Harry Gold, and her brother, Murray Gold.

A graveside funeral service is being held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 1:00PM at the Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07632.
