MILDRED HARRIET WASSERLAUF Jan 29, 1924 ~ August 1, 2014 White Lake, NY Mildred Harriet Wasserlauf, 90, of White Lake, NY died peacefully August 1, 2014 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. Mildred was born in the Bronx, NY to Lou and Jennie Goldberg where she grew up with her brother, Milton and sister, Gloria. She attended Evander Childs High School, was an honor student for her academic studies and was recognized for her magnificent designer dress drawings. Following World War II, Mildred married David Wasserlauf, moved to White Lake and found her calling as a farmer. During the following 65 years Mildred made numerous contributions to her friends and community including serving as President of Sisterhood at Temple Beth-El in Kauneonga Lake. Mildred is survived by her daughter, Frances Abilock and husband, Louis; sons: Harold Wasserlauf and wife, Christine, Robert Wasserlauf and wife, Karen; grandchildren: Tanya, Devani, Jessica, Daniel, and Zoe, and great-grandchildren: Daniella and Jordana. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, David and her brother, Milton. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 5th at Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701.  Interment will follow at Beth-El Cemetery, Route 17B, Bethel, NY; Rabbi Susan Elkodsi will officiate.
