Obituary of Marvin Goldenberg

Marvin Goldenberg Of Ellenville, New York November 6, 1923-December 26, 2012 89 years old Marvin "Goldie" Goldenberg passed away on 12/26/12. He celebrated his 89th birthday on 11/6/12. He was a graduate of Ellenville High School and retired from Eastern Correctional Facility. Prior to working as a correctional officer, he ran his family's dairy farm and bungalow colony on Briggs Highway in Ellenville. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sophie, and sister, Rhoda Rubin. He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Kaplan of Sag Harbor, N.Y., his daughter, Adriane Kossar of Ellenville, N.Y., grandchildren, Jonathan, Lauren, and Stefanie, and beloved niece and nephews Debbie, Ronnie, and Lane. As a lifelong member of Ezrath Israel Synagogue, he will be buried at Ezrath Israel Cemetery next to his wife, Sophie. Graveside services will be held Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:00am at the Ezrath Israel Synagogue Cemetery in Wawarsing. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home of Ellenville.
