Obituary of Selma Helene Bauer

Selma H. Bauer Of Liberty, New York August 5, 1936-December 31, 2012 76 years old Selma Helene Bauer, a former school crossing guard for the City of New York Schools, and a long time resident of the area, died in the early morning hours at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, on Monday, December 31, 2012. She was 76. She is survived by her loving husband, Howard Bauer, at home; her 4 children, Michael Bauer, and his wife Joanny, of Monroe, CT, Phyllis Bauer, of Liberty, NY, Mark Bauer, and his wife Rosemarie, of Westport, CT, and Joyce Alexander, and her husband, Edward Jr, of Rye, NY; her 6 grandchildren, Lauren Bauer, Lisa Bauer, Rachel Bauer, Alexander Bauer, Leah Alexander, and Brooke Alexander. She will be especially missed by her loving Brittany spaniel "Bobby". She will be remembered as a strong woman who loved to take walks and who was very spirited. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 1, 2012 at 12:00pm at the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery, Sunset Lake Road, in Liberty. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home of Monticello.
