Obituary of Albert Martin Rosenblatt

Albert Martin Rosenblatt, a lifelong resident of Monticello, passed away peacefully March 12, 2013 at the Pine Valley Nursing Home in Spring Valley, NY. Son of the late Samuel Rosenblatt and Beatrice Schneider Rosenblatt, Albert was born August 25, 1923 in New York City. Albert was proud to serve his country during World War II and was a former commander of the Jewish War Veterans in Monticello. He was also active in the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the Landfield Avenue Synagogue Cemetery. He is survived by his two sons: Marc Rosenblatt and his wife, Carol of Aventura, FL and Gary Rosenblatt and his wife, Svetlana of Brooklyn, NY; his daughter, Susan Foxman of Cranford, NJ; two step sons: Marc Mednick of Warwick, NY and Kevin Mednick of Albany, NY; a sister, Roslyn Sharoff of Monticello; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held today, March 13, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY. Services will also be held by the Jesse Brahm's Post 206 of the Jewish War Veterans. Burial will follow at the Old Liberty Street Synagogue Cemetery, Thompson Road, Monticello. Shiva will be observed at Jesse Rosenblatt's home at, 11 South Morris Lane, Scarsdale, NY. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph N.
