Obituary of Annette R Hochberg

Annette R. Hochberg, 94, a resident of Chester, NY for over 50 years, died peacefully at home. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Jane and Jack Reingold. For the last 10 years, she resided in New York City. She was an artist-printmaker, trained from an early age. She studied with renowned artists and has works hanging in collections throughout the world. Inspiration was what she saw around her, including rural Orange County, NY and during travels in the Americas, Africa, the Far East and Europe. She taught art in Orange and Rockland Counties. Most recently she was a member of the Roosevelt Island Visual Arts Association. Her husband of over 60 years, Edward Hochberg, predeceased her. Survivors include her four children, all raised in Chester: D. Peter of Cleveland, OH, Carol J. of Bayside, NY, Hugh M.K. of Gig Harbor, WA and Ellen H. Driesen of Brooklyn, NY; their children: Daniel, Donna and Derek; William Joseph; Karissa; and Emily and Rebecca Driesen; daughter-in-law, Maxine Singer and son-in-law, Drew Driesen; step grandsons, Ian and Andrew Singer; six great grandchildren; and sister, Francine Campbell; brother-in-law, Michael Harrison and nephew, John Campbell. Funeral services will be held graveside today, August 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Temple Beth Sholom Cemetery, Spanktown Road, Florida, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chester Public Library, 1784 Kings Highway, Chester, NY 10918. Arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph N.
