Obituary of Murray L. Leshner

Murray (Mischa) Leonard Leshner November 24, 1926-April 27, 2013 Monticello, NY Murray (Mischa) Leonard Leshner, 86, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on Saturday, April 27th, 2013 as a result of injuries sustained after a severe fall.   Mischa was the elder son of the late Benjamin and Bella Wolfson Leshner.  He was born on November 24, 1926 in the Bronx, New York. For much of Mischa's life, he worked with his parents, his brother Jack, his wife Helen, and other family members in the family owned hotel, Harmony County Club.  He is most remembered in the community as the Administrator of Community General Hospital for both the Harris and Callicoon divisions. He retired from the hospital in 1988. Mischa is survived by his three daughters:  Susan Leshner, Jane Crystal and her husband Joe, Linda Pavlick; and his five grandchildren:  Richard Leshner and his wife Rebecca Perez, Robyn, Lauren and Jesse Pavlick, and Vikki Crystal; and his great granddaughter Misha Perez Leshner.  He is also survived by his brother Jack and Jack's daughters and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 30th at 1 pm at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway in Monticello.  Burial will follow at the Temple Sholom Cemetery on Southwoods Road in Monticello.
