Faye Perlman January 18, 1922-May 5, 2010 88 yrs Of Boca Raton, Fl & Formerly Monticello Faye Perlman died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in the West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton, Florida. She was born January 18, 1922 in New York City. Predeceased by her husband Hyman, brother Max Schapiro, and parents Bernard and Gussie Schapiro. She is survived by her children Ellen (Steven) Krull of Fairport, NY , Howard ( Helene) Perlman of Monticello, and Lonny Perlman of Rochester, NY; grandchildren Geoffrey Krull (Robin Maglietto) , Kenneth Krull (Bari Levy) , Sarah Krull, Heather Pollock-Snowdon(Jordan), Rebecca Perlman; great-grandson Eli Snowdon; sisters-in-law Rose Schapiro of Monticello, and Dorothy Perlman of Delray Beach, Florida, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends. Faye helped run the family business, Schapiro's Poultry and Egg Farm, for 20 years. After the farm was sold, Faye and Hy owned the West End Diner for many years. When the diner was sold, she became Reservations Manager for the Concord Hotel. In retirement, she worked part-time for the Monticello Board of Elections. Faye spent her retirement years helping others. She won recognition countless times for her plethora of garments she knit and crotched for all the nursing homes in the Monticello area. Funeral services will be held at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, on Sunday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Workman's Circle #610 Cemetery, Old Thompsonville Road, in Monticello. Shiva will be held at 51 Lakewood Avenue in Monticello, Sunday, May 9, 4-8 P.M. Donations may be made to Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Hospice by the Sea, or any fund that supports Israel.
