Obituary of Roslyn Siegel

Roslyn Siegel of Ellenville, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Vassar Bros. Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She was 86. The daughter of the late Jacob Schreibman and Sadie Lachterman Schreibman, she was born February 2, 1924 in the Bronx. She was the widow of Irving Siegel. Roz greatly missed her beloved Irving. She adored her family and considered herself the luckiest grandma having all five of her grandchildren grow up within a few blocks of her home. She was ecstatic with the arrival of her great grandchildren. She enjoyed her crafts and living in "her mountains". She will be greatly missed. She is survived by two sons: Jack Siegel & his wife Rhonda, and Robert Siegel & his wife Robin, all of Ellenville; five grandchildren: Scott (Cara), Maren (Scott), Beth (Dan), Marla and David; five great grandchildren: Andrew, Javin, Ariella, Brooke and Samantha. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 16 at 2:00pm at the Congregation Ezrath Israel Synagogue, Center Street and Rabbi Eisner Square in Ellenville with Rabbi Moshe Frank officiating. Burial will follow at Congregation Ezrath Israel Cemetery in Wawarsing. The family will be sitting Shiva at the Siegel residence, 64 Church Street in Ellenville.
