Obituary of Pauline Furchak

Pauline Solomon Furchak Monticello, NY December 2, 1922-January 1, 2011 Pauline Solomon Furchak died on January 1, 2011 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She had celebrated her 88th birthday in December. Pauline was born in NYC the daughter of Frank and Jennie Solomon. She was married to the late Edward J. Furchak, Sr. Pauline lived her adult life in Monticello, NY where she was a homemaker. Survivors include: her daughter, Sharon Thomas and husband Donald of Old Forge, PA.; a brother, Murray Solomon of Endicott, NY; one grand-daughter, Jennifer Shamah and her husband Al of Rock Hill, NY; one grandson, Jason Furchak and his wife January of Clinton, ME; a niece Franci Solomon-Kirtack and husband Paul of Monticello; 4 great-grandchildren, Sarah and David Shamah and Jorja and Jenna Furchak; a sister-in-law, Helen Solomon Fero and husband Dan and her daughter-in-law Carol Furchak all of Monticello. She is predeceased by her husband, her son, Edward J. Furchak, Jr.; and two brothers Abraham and Jacob Solomon. Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 3pm at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Community Lane, Liberty, NY 12754. The family will observe Shiva at the Shamah home in Rock Hill following the burial till 8pm on Monday evening.
