Obituary of Erma "Granny" Levin

ERMA "GRANNY" LEVIN JUNE 10, 1926-SEPTEMBER 24, 2011 MONTICELLO, NY Erma "Granny" Levin, the loving wife of Jack Levin, she was a longtime Monticello resident and the former owner/operator of Shear Artistry At The Raleigh Hotel died at home with her loving family by her side on Saturday, September 24. She was 85. Erma was born June 10, 1926 in Olyphant, Pa the daughter of Giovanni and Santuccia Constantini Silvi. She is survived by her husband Jack to whom she was married to for 61 and half years, her two sons: Vance Levin of Ct, Jerry Levin and his wife Frances of Middletown, her daughter; Resa Wallach and her husband Jon of Forestburgh, her sister; Sara Martinelli of Dunmore, Pa, her four grandchildren; Nicholas Justin Levin, Tayler Jordan Levin, Kyle Juliet Wallach and Bryce Jared Levin and several nieces and nephews. Also Granny is survived by her special companion Katy Too who never left her side. Erma was predeceased by one son; Howard Levin, three brothers; Auggie, Emil and Arthur and two sisters; Mary and Viola. The family will receive friends at a gathering at the home of Resa and Jon Wallach in Forestburgh, NY on Thursday, September 29 from 12 till 5pm.
