Obituary of Ruth Goldberg

Ruth Goldberg February 18, 1922-May 26, 2012 90 years old Ruth Goldberg of Parksville, NY and Pembroke Pines, FL died Saturday, May 26, in Pembroke Pines, FL. She was 90 years of age. The daughter of the late Morris and Jennie Weinstein, she was born February 18, 1922 in Liberty, New York. Ruth worked as a hostess at the former Grossinger's Hotel and Country Club in Liberty, NY for many years. Upon moving to Florida she ran the Vault Department at Washington Federal Savings and Loan Bank in South Beach, FL until her retirement. She was a member of Congregation Teferes Israel Synagogue in Parksville, NY. Ruth is survived by a son, Joel (Darlene) Goldberg of Liberty, NY and Cooper City, FL; a daughter, Anlee (Billy) Mashburn of Miramar, FL; a brother Fred (Sylvia) White of Las Vegas; sister-in-law Rita Weinstein of Liberty, NY, three grandchildren; three great grandchildren, nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Weinstein. Graveside services and burial will be held at the Teferes Israel Cemetery in Parksville, NY on Wednesday, May 30 at 1:00 PM Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Teferes Israel Synagogue, Main Street, Parksville, NY 12768. Funeral arrangements were made by the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home of Monticello.
