I am sending my heartfelt condolences to the entire Sandler family. I have so many fond memories of Mr. Sandler. One of my fondest memories to reflect upon were the time we spent sitting on his front lawn, waving to everyone who passed by his house. He always had a lawn chair ready for me to come sit and chat with him. He was a wonderful man and he will be missed by many.

I have wonderful thoughts of Sol during my ski days teaching at the Nevele. His work ethic and friendly personality is something I’ve adopted in my life. Sol always worked out any issues in a professional manner and his customers were very happy. His signature hat is clearly in my memory.
What a wonderful soul!
My deepest thoughts are with his family during this time.
Sincerely,
Todd Miller

We were very lucky to know Sol for a short while, at least. We were envious of his lawn! We hoped Dorothy and Sol would come to our clambake this past August and missed them greatly. Randi, our daughter was saddened by the news. My parents lived in the house in Jamaica queens once owned by sol's partner, I believe. And like Sol I was born in queens and lived in Brooklyn before moving to Ellenville. He gave me license plate frames that said "Wawarsing". I was hoping his idea for a local "shark tank" would come to fruition...rest in peace...

I was very young when we used to visit Sol at the Hotel Summit, as we had a Summer home on Lincoln Road, near the hotel. I remember he was always smiling and very friendly: he ley us use the swimming pool. Many find memories; God Bless.
