Obituary of Sylvia Diamond

SYLVIA DIAMOND MONTICELLO, NY Sylvia Diamond, a longtime resident of Monticello and the widow of Martin (Marty) Diamond, passed away at Catskill Regional Medical Center on Sunday August 14, 2005. She was 91. Sylvia was born in New York City on August 17, 1913 the daughter of Morris and Mary Mandell Sampson. She was a longtime active member of many clubs and organizations including the Landfield Ave Synagogue, and the hospital auxiliary. She is survived by her two daughters; Irene Greenfield of Monticello and Joan Diamond of San Francisco, Calf, her two grandchildren; Joseph Greenfield and his wife Bonnie and Suzanne Lieberman and her husband Barry and her great granddaughter Madelyn Jenna Greenfield. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, Martin (Marty) Diamond in 2000, her Son in Law Melvin Greenfield and her five brothers and four sisters. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3pm today, Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at the Landfield Ave Synagogue Cemetery Thompson Rd. Monticello, NY. Rabbi Ben Zion Chanowitz will officiate.
