NORMAN TENNENBAUM ELLENVILLE, NY & AVENTURA, FLA Norman Tennenbaum, a lifelong resident of Ellenville, anda resident ofAventura, Florida for over 15 years, died on October27, 2006, in Aventura Hospital in Florida. He was 82. Norman was born on July 5, 1924, in Ulster Heights where he was also Bar Mitzvah. He went to Ellenville High Schooland wasan exceptional athlete inhis divisionsof track, soccer,and basketball. Norman was also voted best looking in his senior class. Norman was a retired businessentrepreneur and aVeteran of World War II, Merchant Marines Division from 1943-1945. He was the head of securitywhenPresident Linden B. Johnson visitedEllenville. Over the years, Norman sat on many boards and committees but there was no greater commitment to him than his family. He leaves behind his wife Lillian, whom he married almost 59 years ago.He is survived by 3 children; Sharon and Larry Haight, of Napanoch,Stevenand EliseTennenbaum ofCarrolton, Texas, and Bruce and Noreen Tennenbaum of Tucson, Arizona and his 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Norman was predeceased by two daughters; Nancy Tennenbaum and Wendy Tennenbaum Cypert Funeral will be held on Sunday,October 29th, 2006 at 2pm in Congregation Ezrath Israel Synagogue Rabbi Eisner Square, Ellenville, NY.
