SEYMOUR FELDMAN
SYRACUSE, NY FORMELY OF SOUTH FALLSBURG
Seymour Feldman, 91, former long-time resident of Mountaindale and South Fallsburg, died on November 6, 2006 at his home in Syracuse, NY. He was 91.
Seymour was born on June 22, 1915 in New York City, the son of Joseph and Adele Seidman Feldman. He was raised in Mountaindale, where his family owned asmall farm and boarding house. Seymour was a 1934 graduate of Mountaindale High School, he resided most of his life in the Town of Fallsburg, where he wasthe owner of Kay-Feld's Delicatessen in Mountaindale and a partner in the GreatOil Company of So. Fallsburg. After his retirement from the fuel oil business, he worked at the Tarry Brae Golf Course in South Fallsburg for almost 20 years. An Army veteran of World War II, Seymour was awarded the Bronze Star andPurple Heart. He served as the treasurer of the Fallsburg FireDepartment for many years and was a past deputy district governor of the NY State Lion'sClub. He served on the Town of Fallsburg Zoning Board and was a longtime member of theSouth Fallsburg Hebrew Association.
Seymour was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Minnie, in 2000. He is survived by daughter Myrna Feldman of Suwanee, GA; son Mark (Chris Riley) of Syracuse, NY; daughter Sari Feldman (Matt O'Dwyer) of ShakerHeights, OH; son Robert (Kathy) of New Paltz, NY; sister Frances Perlman of GreatNeck, NY; grandchildren Meg and Bridget O'Dwyer and Joe, Allison, and SamFeldman; nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at the Joseph N. GarlickFuneral Home Inc 388 Broadway Monticello. Burial will be at the South Fallsburg Hebrew Association cemetery Marsh Rd Glen Wild.
Donations in memory of Seymour may be made to the Fallsburg Fire Department or achapter of the Lion's Club.
