Obituary of Benjamin Hoffman

BENJAMIN HOFFMAN HURLEYVILLE, NY Ben Hoffman, a longtime area resident and retired Supply Sgt with the National Guard, and former security guard at the former Concord Hotel in Kiamesha Lake, died on Saturday, March 10, 2007, in the Skilled Nursing Unit of Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris. He was 76. Ben was born in New York City on January 30, 1931 the son of the late William and Rose Greenberg Hoffman. He was a longtime Social member of the Hurleyville Relief Squad. He is survived by his wife Barbara Galanter-Hoffman at home, his nephews; Ira Tommer and Martin Tommer and his wife Karen, his niece Wendy and great nieces and nephews; Richard, Michael and Jaclyn all of Merrick, NY. Ben was pre deceased by his brother Milton and his sister Anna Tommer. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 1pm in the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc. 388 Broadway Monticello, NY. Burial will be in the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery Liberty, NY. Donations in memory of Ben can be made to the Hurleyville Relief Squad.
