Obituary of Sally Powell

SALLY POWELL WOODRIDGE, NY Sally Powell, the widow of Kenneth Powell who passed in 1998, died on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 in the Achieve Nursing and Rehab Center in Liberty, NY. She was 80. Sally was a longtime area resident. She was born in New York City on December 4, 1926 the daughter of Hyman and Mollie Molick Calton. She was a former singer and stage entertainer at various Hotels as well as a retired cashier at the former Concord Hotel in Kiamesha Lake, and a sales person at the Jewelry shops in both the Concord Hotel and Kutshers Country Club. She was a member of the Fallsburg Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by her two daughters; Abby Friedman of Las Vegas, NV and Heidi Ingrassia and her husband Frank of Fallsburg, and her three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Sally was predeceased by one daughter Yetta. Funeral services will be held today, Friday, March 30, 2007 at 2pm in the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc. 388 Broadway Monticello. Rabbi Ben Zion Chanowitz will officiate. Burial will be in the Workman Circle Branch #281 cemetery Marsh Rd Glen Wild, NY.
