Obituary of Elaine Rothman

ELAINE ROTHMAN ELLENVILLE, NY Elaine Rothman, a lifetime Ellenville resident and the widow of Richard Rothman a prominent Ellenville businessman was passed in 2002, died at home in Ellenville after a short illness, surrounded by her family on Friday, March 30, 2007. She was 80 Elaine worked along side her husband Richard, running Richies True Value Store in Ellenville for fifty years. She was born in Ellenville on April 23, 1926 the daughter of Manuel and Rose Feldman Dittenheimer. She was a member of Congregation Ezrath Israel Synagogue. She is survived by her sons; Robert Rothman of Kingston, and Mitchell Rothman of Ellenville, and her daughter; Jill Trachtenberg and her husband Sam of Pinehurst, NC. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Marleen and Brent Schwartz, Alison and Peter Hilliard, David Rothman, Seth and Jennifer Trachtenberg and Randi and David Seran and her great grandchildren; Elizabeth, Nicholas, Jonathan, Benjamin, Elyse, Ethan, Callie, Rachel and Ari and her sister; Marlene Etter of Hurley, NY and her brother; William Dittenheimer of Queens. Funeral services will be held today, Sunday, April 1, 2007 at 1pm in Congregation Ezrath Israel Synagogue Rabbi Eisner Square Ellenville, NY. Rabbi Moshe Frank will officiate. Burial will be in Ezrath Israel Cemetery Route 209 Wawarsing, NY. Donations in memory in Elaine may be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements by Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc.
