Obituary of Goldie Lerner

GOLDIE LERNER SWAN LAKE, NY & AVENTURA, FLA Goldie Lerner, the retired treasurer for Quickway Metal Fabricators and longtime area resident, died at her home in Aventura, Florida on Monday, April 30, 2007. She was 79. Goldie was born in Brooklyn on March 10, 1928 the daughter of Max and Ray Kaplan Furman. She was a longtime member of Temple Beth-El in Kauneonga Lake and a past President of the Sisterhood of Temple Beth-El, as well as serving the Temple in many other ways. She was also the past President of the Bethel chapter of Hadassah. She is survived by her husband Marc at home, her daughter; Barbara Lerner and her longtime companion William Fersch of Roscoe, her two sons; Steven Lerner of Monticello, and Jerrold Lerner and his companion Jaye Nyeick of New York and her four grandchildren; Jacob, Joseph, Max and Claire. She is predeceased by her one brother; Norman Furman. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at 1pm in the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc. 388 Broadway Monticello. Rabbi Marvin Goldman will officiate. Burial will be in Temple Beth-El cemetery Route 17B Bethel, NY. Donation in memory of Goldie may be made to a charity of ones choice.
