96 years old
Rose, the daughter of Max and Ida Rosen passed away peacefully at the age of 96 in Margate, Florida. She was born and raised in N.Y.C. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers Norman and Martin. Harry, her loving husband of 67 years, died in 2004. In 1944 the couple and their two children moved from Bronx, NY to White Sulphur Springs, NY. They later moved to Liberty where, while raising their family, Harry began a business called Ross Electric Company. It is still a family run business today.
Rose is survived by her son Joel Ross and his wife Joan of Liberty; grandson Kenneth Ross, wife Tracy and daughters Esti and Alli of Liberty; grandson Eric Ross and daughter Caelian and son Aden of Florida; granddaughter Migdalia Ross and daughter Nicole of Liberty and great-grandson Joshua Ross and wife Sinta of California. She was predeceased by grandson Steven Ross of Liberty. She is survived by her daughter Carol Baumann Koenig and husband Jerry of Florida; grandson Daniel Baumann, wife Cristina, son Jeffrey and their grandchildren Chanel and Chasen of California; grandson Jason Baumann and daughter Kelsi of California.
Rose worked as a salesperson at The Juvenile Shop in Liberty. She was a member of, and spokeswoman for Weight Watchers. She and Harry were charter members of the Liberty Ambulance Corps. She was a member of the Rebekahs, Hadassah, Bnai Brith, Pythians, and the Ferndale Synagogue.
Funeral services will be held on Friday January 18 at 1:00pm at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701. Burial will follow at the Ferndale Cemetery in Parksville.
