Obituary of Herbert Gitlin

MONTICELLO, NY & SUN CITY WEST, AZ Herbert Gitlin, a lifetime area resident, and Real Estate Broker, died on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 in Orange Regional Medical Center Horton Campus. He was 80. Herb was a World War II Army Veteran. He was born in the Bronx, NY on April 14, 1927 to Murray and Claire Hoffman Gitlin. He was a longtime member of Temple Sholom in Monticello, The Jewish War Veterans, Rotary, and the Knights of Phythis. He is survived by his wife; Muriel at home, his two daughters: Marcy Gitlin of Calf and Cindy Gitlin of NYC, his brother; Mel Gitlin of Davie, Fl and his sister; Evelyn Ilardi of Florida and several nieces & nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 12 pm in the Temple Sholom Cemetery, South Woods Drive in Monticello. Rabbi M. Medwin will officiate. The family will be sitting Shiva at the family home in Monticello starting on Sunday Sept 16 until Friday Sept 21. The family asks that all donations in memory of Herb be made to Temple Sholom or to the Virginia C. Pipper Cancer Center, Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ. Funeral arrangements by Joseph N.
