Obituary of Sadye Prottas

SADYE PROTTAS WOODRIDGE, NY Sadye Prottas, a long time resident of Woodridge, N.Y, died on Sunday, December 30, 2007. She was 82. The daughter of Samuel and Gussie Gandler. Sadye was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., June 23, 1925. She was the widow of Sol Prottas, former mayor of Woodridge. Both she and her husband owned and operated Sol's Luncheonette. She was presently working at Kagan's Meat in Woodridge. Sadye is survived by her grandchildren Sara, Jake and Sam, the joy of her life, her daughters Laurie Prottas and Geryl Greenberg, and son-in-law Barry Greenberg and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 1,2008at 2:00 PM, in the Workman Circle 281 Cemetery Marsh Rd Glen Wild, NY. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of your Choice.
