One of my many treasured memories of Roy is the image of him sitting with friends and family on the veranda of his home at Yasgur's Farm. I can still see him, in my mind's eye, his faithful Blue Healer by his side, welcoming my son, Shannon, and me - strangers in a strange land - to his home that sunny Sunday afternoon at the end of another Woodstock reunion. I met his daughter Jamie and her husband Dick that day and, later that evening, his eldest daughter Leslee. So began an adventure that would bring me back to Roy's home and hospitality again and again, always to be welcomed, but never again as a stranger.
