LOUIS LEVINE
KIAMESHA LAKE, NY
Louis Levine, a longtime area resident, died on Monday, February 25, 2008 in Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY, with is son by his side. He was 97.
Louis was a longtime member of Fallsburg Lodge #1122 of the Free and Accepted Masons, he was the Grand Chaplin of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York, and he was a member of Kalurah Shiners Temple and a World War II Army Veteran. Louis was also a member of the Loch Sheldrake Senior Citzens, American Legion, Jewish War Veterans and the VFW.
He is survived by his one son; Mitchel and his wife Ruth of New York, NY, his three grandchildren; Lisa, Rebecca and David, and his two great grandchildren: Joshua and Toby. He was predeceased by his wife Rae in August of 2000.
Funeral services along with Masonic and American Legion services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 10am in the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc. 388 Broadway Monticello, NY. Rabbi Ben Zion Chanowitz will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery Flushing, NY.
The family will be sitting Shiva in Kiamesha Lake from Wednesday night thru Friday afternoon and then again from Sunday until Wednesday afternoon.
