Obituary of Irene Doellman

IRENE DOELLMAN MONTICELLO, NY Irene Doellman, of Monticello, died on Sunday, April 6, 2008 in Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. She was 88. Irene was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 28, 1919 the daughter of the late Louis and Ida Schub. She was a proud mother who felt that her greatest achievement in life was raising and caring for her three daughters. She left them with gift of courage, compassion and love. She taught them how to choose what type of person they would strive to become in life. She loved dancing and playing cards. Irene is survived by her three daughters; Irene and her husband William Costello of Lisbon, NY, Kathleen Doellman of Monticello and Wilhelmina and her husband Joseph Girolamo of Wappingers Falls, NY and by her adopted daughter; Gail Musumeci of Wappingers Falls, NY, her sister: Lottie Auriemmo of Middle Village, NY, and by her nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers; Nathan and Alexander Schub and her sister; Helen Halperin and by her niece Laura Berlin. Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 12pm in the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc. 388 Broadway Monticello, NY. Rabbi M. Medwin will officiate. Burial will be in Temple Sholom Cemetery Monticello. Donations in memory of Irene can be made to the Catskill Dialysis Center, 139 Forestburgh Rd. Monticello, NY 12701.
