When I met Anne for the first time in 1981 I was taken with her right away! She was an amazing woman by all means. Truly inspirational, wise, loving and so caring for others. I enjoyed our conversations over these many years. She gave of herself in so many ways to my daughter during her religious education and Bat Mitzvah. I know she left an impression on Monique that stays with her to this day. I am sure that all would agree, that when Anne was in your life, you were blessed with the kindness, inspiration, and friendship that is most special. Although moving south took me out of the County it is one of her care givers and my friend who was able to keep our friendship going with messages back and forth. I was very saddened to learn of her passing as was my family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and her companion Victor, who too is a most amazing person.

Dear Louis,
Although you may not remember and/or know me, I was in Allen's class.Living in Mountaindale, I knew that your dear mom was a sister to Joe Rothstein. Over the years I got to know and love your mom dearly - through her membership in Hadassah with my mom, Bernice and with her columns in the local paper. In fact she called me a few weeks ago
to ask for Fred Madeo's address as she wanted to send him copies of your writings to him. She was so proud of all your accomplishments. We both told each other we loved each other and I will always keep that moment in a special place in my heart. I got to visit with her in SNU at Harris Hospital in October of this past year when I came up from Florida for the FCS Class of '67 40th Reunion. We would always include her in our mailing list in respect to Allen's memory. We spoke for quite some time. She was physically tired but her mind was racing with quotes and good wishes and memories of my parents. I will never forget that.
Louis -hold close the good times you shared with your mom. She was disarming, determined and dedicated to spreading 'Yiddishkeit' to one and all. She is now at peace with your dad, Jack, and your brother, Alan. May they watch over you and grant you long life, health and happiness.
Sincerely,
Richard

Unfortunately, I don't think I ever got the chance to tell you this. But perhaps, your still there for a little longer.. I hope you know I'm very thankful for you taking care of me when I was younger still living in fallsburg. Though it was a long time ago, I still remember the memories that were made, making pop-corn, watching tv, and watching you run after me around your house. I wish I had the chance to tell you this in person.
Thankfully alot of lives were able to be touched by you. RIP
