Obituary of Ruth Horowitz

RUTH HOROWITZ DEERFIELD BEACH, FL AND WAWARSING, NY Ruth Horowitz, of Deerfield Beach Florida and Wawarsing, NY, died Monday, December 1, 2008 in Boca Raton, FL, she was 85. Daughter of Joseph and Rachel Rubin, Ruth was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 2, 1923. A retired bookkeeper and V.P. of D&M Furniture in Ellenville, she was predeceased by three brothers Alfred, Seymour, and Harold Rubin and two sisters, Florence Basile and Pearl Friedman. She is survived by her Two sons; Donald Horowitz and his wife Jacqueline of Boynton Beach FL and Middletown NY, and Gary Horowitz and his wife Jeanne of Ellenville, NY, Four grandchildren; Robin and her fianc Tim Ciaaizzo, Jeffrey and his fianc Shari Covington, Adam Horowitz and his wife Helaine, and Alison Storey and her husband Wayne, Two Great Grandchildren; Marissa and Lauren Storey, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 4 at11:00a.m. at the Congregation Anshe Tzaydik, 186 Canal Street Ellenville, NY. Interment will follow at the Anshe Tzaydik Cemetery in Wawarsing, NY. Shiva will be observed at the home of Gary Horowitz, 29 Maple Ave. Ellenville, NY.
