Obituary of Mae Roth

MAE FEINGOLD ROTH NEW YORK, NY FORMERLY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, NY OCTOBER 3, 1916 ~ DECEMBER 12, 2008 Mae Feingold Roth, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, died on Friday, December 12, 2008 in St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City. Mae was born in the Bronx, NY. She spent much of her childhood in North Branch, NY at the Woodland House, her parents' hotel. She raised her family in Jeffersonville, while running the family business, Roth's Laundry with her beloved husband, Arthur. Her gracious hospitality and love of people made her home, the Blue Victorian of Jeffersonville, and later, at her home in New York City, a center for friends and family. There was always room for more guests at her table. Her sparkle and joy of life drew people to her. She maintained close relationships for 92 years, despite time and distance. Words cannot express how much she will be missed. She is survived by her children, Matthew and Barbara Roth of Florida, Jessica and Paul Jones, MD of Forestburgh, Amy Roth and Bill Kyburz of NY, as well as by nine grandchildren, their spouses, and by three great-grandsons, her sister, Jean Euben, of NC and her brother, Hi Frank of Florida. Mae was predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur and by two daughters; Tina Roth and Ellen Roth Reisman. Funeral services will be held today, Sunday, December 14, 2008 at 12 noon in the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc. 388 Broadway Monticello, NY. Rabbi Michelle Medwin will officiate.
