Obituary of Tillie Sznukowski

Tillie Rittberg Sznukowski Ellenville, NY, Formerly of Napanoch, NY Tillie Sznukowski of Ellenville, died Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Ellenville Community Hospital in Ellenville. The daughter of the late Jacob Rittberg and Katie Hecht Rittberg, she was born in Ellenville. A former bookkeeper, Tillie became a homemaker who was an avid reader and a wonderful wife, mother and aunt. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the VFW in Kerhonkson. She is survived by a son: Elliott of Miami, FL (formerly Napanoch, NY) ; two sisters: Bertye Handler of Ellenville and Mollie Zeidel of Brooklyn; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband: Edward; a son: Mark; two sisters: Minnie Bernstein and Mary Rittberg; and a brother: Aaron Rittberg. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 15 at 1:00 pm at the Congregation Ezrath Israel, Center Street in Ellenville with Rabbi Moshe Frank officiating. Burial will follow at the Congregation Ezrath Israel Cemetery in Wawarsing. Memorial contributions in Tillie's name may be made to the Congregation Ezrath Israel of Ellenville. Shiva will be held at the Handler Home, 25 Center Street in Ellenville following the funeral service and throughout the week, starting Sunday, February 15, at 4:00pm.
