Obituary of Naaman Gershowitz

Naaman Gershowitz, 90 Liberty, NY September 21, 1918 - March 16, 2009 Naaman Gershowitz, a lifetime resident of Sullivan County passed away Monday, March 16, 2009, at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. He was 90. The son of the late Meyer Gershowitz and Fannie Klein Gershowitz, he was born September 21, 1918 at the family home in Hurleyville. Naaman was predeceased by his wife Dorathy Gershowitz who died in 1978. He is survived by his sons: Marty of Liberty, George and his wife Carol of Howe Island, Ontario, Canada, and Punta Gorda Florida; a sister Helen Orner of Liberty; a nephew Michael Novom of New Jersey and two grandchildren; Jason Gershowitz of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Loreen Raiti, of Long Island. Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 18 at 1:30pm at the Ferndale Synagogue Cemetery in Parksville with Rabbi Marvin Goldman officiating.
