JULIUS "YUD" RUBIN
MONTICELLO, NY
February 10, 1920-April 19, 2009
Julius Rubin of Monticello, NY died on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at his home on the family farm on Rubin Road in Sackett Lake with his loving family by side. He was 89.
Julius was a partner of the Abe Rubin Farms Livestock Dealers with his brother William. He was a lifelong member of the Landfield Ave Synagogue.
He was born in New York City on February 10, 1920 the son of Abraham & Becky Berman Rubin.
He was a devoted son, beloved husband, father and dedicated grandfather. He is survived by his children: Jody and her husband Jonathan Birkenfeld of New City, NY, Jeffrey and his wife Karen Rubin of Kennett Square, Pa and Jay and his wife Shirley Rubin of Monticello, his sister: Lillian Golland and his sister-in-law Margaret Rubin, and his grandchildren: Alex and Samantha Birkenfeld, Kaitie and Jacob Rubin and Cayla Rubin and several nieces and nephews.
Julius was predeceased by his parents and wife Caroline and his brother William, Jacob.
Graveside funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 10:30am in the Landfield Ave Synagogue Cemetery on Thompson Road in Monticello. Rabbi Ben Zion Chanowitz will officiate.
