Obituary of Aviva Gordin

Aviva Gordin, 79 Liberty, NY May 13, 1929 - April 29, 2009 Aviva Gordin of Liberty, a retired nurse and longtime resident of the area, died Wednesday night, April 29, 2009 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris from medical complications. She was 79. Born May 13, 1929 in Poland and raised in Israel, Mrs. Gordin came to America in 1959. She was the widow of Jonah Gordin, who predeceased her in September 1984. She will be dearly missed. She leaves her son: David L. Gordin of Liberty; and a niece: Ela Weiss of Fairlawn, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 3 at 12:00 noon at the Congregation Ahavath Israel Synagogue, 39 Chestnut Street in Liberty. Burial will follow at the Congregation Ahavath Israel Cemetery in Liberty. Memorial contributions can be made to Congregation Ahavath Israel in Liberty.
