Judge Ronald Werner Elias, 78 July 28, 1930 - June 3, 2009 Ellenville, NY & Fort Lauderdale, FL Judge Ronald Werner Elias died Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was 78. The son of the late Herman Elias and Greta Loewenstein Elias, he was born July 28, 1930 in Dsseldorf, Germany. Judge Elias was a member of Congregation Ezrath Israel in Ellenville and the Magistrates Association, and also served on the Board of the Ellenville Regional Hospital and L'Hermitage in Florida. He is survived by his wife: Franceska Polster Elias, at home; two sons: Bruce Elias of Beacon and Rychard Elias of Cincinnati, OH; two daughters: Susan Elias Gordon of Rye Brook and Terry Elias Schrager of Weston, FL; his grandchildren: Jonathan and Jessica Elias, Jolene and Hayley Gordon, Tehilla, Miriam, Yisrot Meir, and Tzvia Elias, Aaron Jacob and Hanna Eva Schrager, ; great grandchildren: Marina and Tye Elias; nieces and nephews: Jay, David, Alexander, Ezra, Jonathan & Rina; and his extended families including Steinhoff, Craft and Borriello. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister: Ruth Steinberg on April 21, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5 at 1:00pm at the Congregation Ezrath Israel Synagogue, Center Street and Rabbi Herman Eisner Square in Ellenville with Rabbi Moshe Frank officiating. Burial will follow at the Congregation Ezrath Israel Cemetery in Wawarsing. The family will be sitting Shiva at the family home at Elias Acres in Ellenville starting on Sunday.
