Obituary of Morris David Lederman

Morris David Lederman, 94 Monticello, NY May 27, 1915 - June 8, 2009 Morris David Lederman died peacefully in his sleep on June 8, 2009 in Los Gatos, California at the age of 94 surrounded by his loving family. Before moving to California he resided in the Bronx, NY, Yonkers, NY, Monticello, NY and Margate, FL. Born May 27, 1915, he was the son of Harry and Sarah Lederman of Fallsburg, NY. He was predeceased in 2007 by his loved and adored wife of 68 years, Esther. He is survived by his daughters: Roslyn Fishman & her husband Dr. Daniel Fishman of Saratoga, CA and Beverly Canter & her husband Dr. Joel Canter of Stanfordville, NY. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were an enormous source of pride and joy: Dr. Lauren Canter Friedlander & her husband Jason of Philadelphia PA, Julie Canter of San Francisco, CA, Brett Fishman & his wife Bev of San Francisco, CA, and Emily Fishman Butler & her husband Jackson, and their boys Levi and Jonah of Mill Valley, CA. Morris had five siblings. He was predeceased by his brother: Leo; and his sisters: Francis Rubin and Molly Feldman. He is survived by his sisters: Barbara Langer and Jean Tepper. Morris will be laid to rest in what he considered his true home, the Catskill Mountains of New York and close to his beloved Yankees. A private funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 14 at 11:00 AM at the Workmen's Circle Cemetery in Glen Wild, NY. There will be no calling hours.
