Obituary of Muriel Steier

Muriel Steier January 5, 1924-September 14, 2009 85 years old Formerly of Monticello Muriel Steier, a former bookkeeper at the once famed, Concord Hotel, died in the early morning hours of September 14, 2009 at the Keystone Hospice House, in Wyndmoor, PA, she was 85. The daughter of the late William Weissman and Kayla Garfinkel Weissman, Muriel was born on January 5, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY. In addition to her parents, Muriel was predeceased by her beloved husband, Maurice Steier, and her son, Abe "Avatar" Steier. She is survived by her loving daughter, Shellie Holl, of Philadelphia, PA; her brother, Harold Weissman; 2 grandchildren, Ben and Daniel; and Several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2000 at 1:00pm at the Landfield Avenue Synagogue Cemetery, in Monticello, with Rabbi Ben Zion Chanowitz officiating.
