Obituary of Irwin Forman

Irwin Forman January 11, 1932 - September 21, 2009 77 yrs old of Monticello Irwin Forman, of Monticello, NY, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY, after a long illness. He was 77. He was born on January 11, 1932, in Bronx, NY, the son of the late Abraham Forman and Jennie Schoenbach Forman. A graduate of DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx, Irwin used his intuitive mechanical skills throughout his life, as a mechanic in the United States Air Force and Republic Aviation, as a farmer, and as owner and operator of Forman's Oil Burner Service in Monticello. He was an avid lover of animals and provided havens for many abandoned and unwanted dogs, particularly fond of German Shepherds. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara Baker Forman and a beloved son Mark Leonard Forman. He is survived by his brother, Abraham Richard Forman, of Chesapeake, VA, his sons Matthew Ross Forman of Monticello, NY and Mitchell Scott Forman of Cheshire, CT, and his grandchildren Aryn Aliza and Zachary Joshua Forman of Connecticut. Funeral arrangements are private at the request of the family.
