Obituary of Paul Avery Sobell

Paul Avery Sobell Forestburgh, N.Y. Paul Avery Sobell, a 6 year resident of Forestburgh passed away on November 2, 2009 in Kingston Hospital. The son of the late Hyman and Edna (Spilka) Sobell, Paul was born on April 29, 1943 in New York City, N.Y. Paul was a graduate of NYU Law School and served as a Law Clerk in Supreme Court for New York County. He served as a radio operator during the Vietnam War and earned several medals including the Bronze Star Medal of Honor during his service in the war. Paul was a lover of fishing, considering the fish his friends, always letting them go. His best fishing buddy was his wife Normita. Paul was a loving and devoted husband, a very down to earth kind of guy, who always put his wife first above all things. Paul is survived by his wife, Normita at home, his mother in law, Rita, brother and sister in laws, Jimmy, Leona and Remy and many nieces, nephews, dear friends and neighbors. Graveside services will be held on Thursday November 5th at 1:00 PM in the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery, Liberty. Rabbi Marvin Goldman will officiate. Funeral service by the Joseph N.
