David Seth Wahrhaftig Of Liberty, New York December 2, 1953-November 14, 2010 56 Years old David Seth Wahrhaftig, a former insurance underwriter and longtime resident of Sullivan County, died Sunday, November 14, 2010, at his home. He was 56. The son of the late George Wahrhaftig and Leila Wiener Wahrhaftig, David was born December 2, 1953 in Liberty. He was a graduate of Alfred University and then entered the ROTC and joined the United States Army Reserves where he remained active for 18 years and reached the rank of Captain. David made friends with everyone he came in contact with and had one of the most generous hearts you could imagine. He never came empty handed to anyone's home. David was active with the Ahavath Israel Synagogue in Liberty and donated his time with all types of activities there. David never wanted for himself but always gave to others. He was a good brother, son, and a true friend. The world has lost a very special person. He is survived by his brother, Stephen Wahrhaftig, of Liberty, his sister, Jody Brett Ernandes, and her husband, Matthew, of Mt. Laurel, NJ; his cousins, Jay Stein, of Long Island, Wendy Wiener, of Las Vegas, Michael Wiener, of New Mexico, Paula Wiener, of Texas, and Jay Wiener; and his aunt, Sylvia Wiener, of Florida. Funeral Services for David will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 1:00pm, at the Ahavath Israel Synagogue on Chestnut Street in Liberty. Burial will follow at the Ahavath Israel Synagogue Cemetery on Hysanna Road, in Liberty. Shiva will be observed immediately following the service at the home of Annette and Paul Kasofsky, 191 Aden Road, Liberty, NY
